Le Haflinger est originaire du petit village d'Hafling en Autriche.  Il se caractérise par sa robe alezane, sa crinière et sa queue blanches et abondantes.

Le Haflinger est très intelligent, de nature calme et patient, puissant, courageux et endurant.  C'est une bête qui aime travailler, mais c'est avant tout un cheval familial qui préfère la compagnie des gens.

Il mesure de 14 à 15 mains (56 à 60 pouces) et pèse de 900 à 1 300 livres.

Chez la jument, la fertilité exceptionnelle s'accompagne d'une facilité au poulinage.  Sa longévité atteint jusqu'à 40 ans.

The Haflinger is originally from the small village of Hafling in Austria. It is characterized by the color chestnut and their abundant white mane and tail.

The Haflinger is very intelligent, calm, patient, powerful and courageous.  They love to work, but it is mainly a family horse that prefers the company of people.

They measure 14 to 15 hands (56 to 60 inch) and weight 900 to 1 300 pounds.

Mares have an exceptional fertility rate and are easy to foal.  They can live well into their 40's.
